Iraq's Communists Enter election race

Iraq's communists have joined the election race. 257 candidates, including the Culture Minister of the Interim Government, Mufid al-Jazairi, will contest January's elections on a 'Union of the People' List. December 17 some 2,000 communists gathered in a Baghdad sports hall for the first rally of Iraq's election campaign.
