Iraqi fuel crisis

Huge queues at petrol stations in Baghdad stretch for several kilometres and law enforcement agencies deployed to keep order are doing their best to contain the chaos.

The country’s fuel and power crisis,; Lack of security, onslaught of extremists and unemployment are putting a huge burden on working people.

Transport costs have soared, pushing up the price of food and other essential commodities and this has impact severely on working people and the unemployed

Oil Ministry officials blamed smuggling of oil for the fuel crisis in the country.
