What we do

• We'll soon be able to report here on seminars, public meetings and publications of Labour Friends of Iraq.

• We have invited George Galloway and Christopher Hitchens to hold a public debate on the subject of Iraq.
• We are calling for support for an International Federation of Journalists campaign in defense of Iraqi journalists.
• We launched an appeal to save the life of Iraqi trade unionist Nozad Ismail.

• We produced a Solidarity Toolkit which is available for download in PDF format: Introduction, Contents, Campaign pack, Trade unionists under attack, Voices from the Left, Marshalling the arguments
• Labour Friends of Iraq officers spoke to Constituency Labour Parties. For example, here's a speech (in PDF format) by Alan Johnson to the Leeds North East Constituency Labour Party.

• Labour Friends of Iraq was launched in mid-2004 at fringe meetings at both the Trades Union Congress and the Labour Party.
